The Finnish startup Sulapac aims for a world without plastic waste. We tackle these global challenges with comprehensive, cross-competence digital marketing. As a result of the collaboration, Sulapac’s trailblazer status, sales leads, and website visitor count have improved drastically.

Versatile digital marketing partnership

Sulapac is a Finnish startup founded in 2016. They offer biodegradable and microplastic-free alternatives to replace fossil-based plastics. Having received notable investments during its finance rounds, Sulapac intends to save the world from plastic waste.

Sulapac’s aims are global, so we have made sure that our marketing measures reach all parts of the world critical to the company’s growth. As a startup, it’s important for Sulapac to quickly grow their brand recognition and trailblazer status. Another key part of their growth strategy is getting high-quality leads to support their sales.

Our cooperation, which started in 2018 with the commissioning of HubSpot as a sales and marketing tool, has grown into a comprehensive digital marketing partnership. At the moment, we are also doing search engine and social media marketing, SEO, visual design and content creation for Sulapac.

THE SOLUTION

Data drives the marketing measures

The social media marketing we are doing for Sulapac is based on a social media strategy we have created. The strategy determines the roles of various social media channels as well as the marketing tactics, budgets and target audiences with which we will reach the goals we have defined together with the customer.

We have been executing versatile social media marketing in various different channels. In terms of social media advertising, we have combined data, quality tools and creative execution. Through data, we will get information about what type of content performs best in various target groups, which helps us create new, effective marketing material.

We carried out comprehensive keyword research for SEM and SEO. This research determined the most important keywords of Sulapac. As the scope of our cooperation has grown, we have further developed search engine visibility and supplemented it with efficient Google Ads campaigns that support sales.

Regarding content creation, we have first and foremost advanced Sulapac’s status as a trailblazer in the packaging and cutlery industries. Together with Sulapac, we have come up with thematic blog series, case studies and refined key messages that take into account industry regulations.

We are also strengthening Sulapac’s visual brand design both in social media marketing and content creation. We designed a social media image template that can be applied to text-heavy images, infographs and photos. For blog posts, we draw the illustrations and infographics precisely according to the Sulapac style, ensuring that the visuals are in line throughout Sulapac’s online presence.

THE RESULT

KPIs have improved significantly

A comprehensive approach to marketing has produced measurable results.

We have grown Sulapac’s brand visibility and introduced relevant buyer target groups around the world to Sulapac’s products with SEM campaigns. In early 2022, organic search engine traffic to Sulapac’s website tripled in comparison to the previous year. Our Google Ads campaigns have been international, and their effect on the growth of Sulapac and the amount of leads has been significant.

With HubSpot, Sulapac gets all the leads that have been acquired through digital marketing to be systematically part of the sales process.

Our visually distinctive social media marketing has reached Sulapac’s target audience, increased their awareness about Sulapac products and gotten them interested in them. With continuous monitoring and reporting of results, we have improved the results of advertising and reached the goals set by the customer.

Search engine optimized and visually demonstrative content that strengthens the Sulapac brand has drawn interest in the media and among customers and consumers. Content highlighting Sulapac’s trailblazer status has offered concrete ways to solve the global plastics problem.

International growth deepens the partnership

Our marketing partnership with Sulapac is a fine example of how planning various marketing measures to serve common goals is very efficient. Good and straightforward communication also makes working together pleasant.

Sulapac’s international plans create interesting opportunities for deepening cooperation. Environmentally friendly substitutes for plastic are increasing their popularity globally, and Sulapac’s range of products and variety of materials are increasing along with demand.

We take the requirements brought by Sulapac’s growth as an interesting challenge in which we get to prove our competence in an increasingly international environment.
